Decking

Seamlessly integrating outdoor spaces with indoor lifestyles. Discover how we do decking differently.

Decking for outside living

Whether it’s entertaining guests, a morning coffee in the sun, a Sunday BBQ or a play space for your young family, we construct decks to suit your unique lifestyle perfectly.

Our bespoke deck designs seamlessly transform your landscaped spaces while maintaining the integrity and character of your home. Merbau is perfect for anyone who wants to enjoy their outdoor space without compromising style or comfort. This type of decking is extremely versatile and can be used in various ways, from traditional decks and patios to more creative uses like poolside decks and garden paths. Merbau is also one of the most durable materials on the market, making it a wise investment for any home. There are a few things to consider when it comes to choosing the right material for your home. First, you’ll need to decide what type of look you’re going for. Are you going for a classic wood look or something more modern? Merbau can be stained or left natural, so it’s easy to get the look you want.

Your decking questions answered

Wood decking is made from timber like hardwood and Pine, composite decking is made by blending small wood fibres encased or blended with plastic. Wood decking has a more organic look and feel due to the natural appearance of the timber.

BDW usually recommends that timber decking be re-coated every 6 to 12 months, depending on the preparation beforehand and the quality of the oil. Particularly if exposed to the elements and direct sunlight.

It depends on the individual, some people like the idea of a natural product and enjoys the regular up keep, some people don’t like the maintenance side and prefer composite.

Rather than try and work out what is best for you, we recommend you call us and ask the experienced BDW team to help you decide which option is best for your project and budget.
